The film tells about the fate of the abandoned city of Poliske. Poliske was the second largest city in the Chornobyl region after Pripyat, but its inhabitants were not displaced for 13 years after the disaster. The authorities created conditions for people to remain, and even built new homes in the city for those displaced from Pripyat. All this time, the residents were not informed of the 10x excess of the radiation background. Resettlement only ended in 1999.
